If your dad is diabetic and needs insulin injections, his caregiver cannot do that for him.

Home care assistance services are also not going to allow your caregiver to shop for your groceries while shopping for your dad.
Tasks outside the chores on a care list are also off-limits. If a caregiver is there to help your dad with his daily shower, dressing, and breakfast, you can’t ask the caregiver to stay overnight so that you can go on a quick vacation. You need to make those arrangements separately with the agency.
